Only Nikon can confirm whether you have warranty cover and for how long. No one else can.
Only they know exactly what they need you to do to get warranty cover.

So the warranty process if different for each individual? These were the instructions...
To create a My Nikon account and register for the 2 Year Warranty
I have done all of the above and the instructions suggest that everyone in the UK (Europe) has to follow the exact same process.
