I'd rather see an internal focusing 300mm f4, but it would be pretty big.
I used my 100-300mm pretty extensively on a recent trip to Puerto Rico and I must say it's a really fun lens to use. Most of my shots were on the long end though, so a faster, sharper 300mm would be much better.
