Most of my shooting is in tangled trees/branches and I've had good success using the D7000. Compared to the D90, it is much better - I use AF-C with 9 pt. most of the time. These are fairly heavy crops



I was also surprised at how well it tracks. I took this eagle shot at the Winnipeg zoo during their bird show.

Plenty of light to be sure that day, but considering I was using the consumer grade 70-300mm VR, I was very pleased at how many keepers I got. I plan on treating myself this summer by renting maybe the 200-400mm VR or some other dream lens to really see what the camera can do.
