70-200 f4 tested on Photozone

I love mine!!! I have been jealous of the Canon 70-200 f4 for a couple of years now. No more. Excellent resolution at all f stops and focal lengths at 5 meters -where I tested mine. Long distance tests coming up. This really is one of Nikon's sharpest lenses (according to many tests and reviews). Most tests show it equal or better in resolution and CA than my old 70-200 VR. Smaller and quite a bit lighter - and cheaper. Being as I don't shoot in extreme weather this lens works well for my needs.

Even more important, this 70-200 doesn't "breathe" as you focus closer. At maximum closeness the resulting image is almost 3x larger than with the 70-200 VRII. In other words, a pack of cigarettes pretty much fills the screen. I believe it is around 1:3.2
