Sony repair great service

Sometimes, Sony can surprise you with generous repairs and go beyond their obligations to do so. Once, I sent in two expensive pieces of pro video equipment, that went to two different repair centers. The cost would have been upwards of $3,000., if I'd had to pay, but there was no charge, even though the labor part of the warranty had expired more than a month before.

One piece came back in a week, although the other was delayed 6 weeks, by a needed part on a slow boat from overseas. It was worth the wait, as it kept working for 4 more years and the other piece for much longer.
