I use both APS-c and full frame, and both have advantages, thus you should prefer the one with the advantage for your current shooting situation.
How do YOU decide which one to use, APS-C or FF? Just because the APS-C has better crop-a-bility than the FF, providing more detail, doesn't necessarily mean that it would be the best choice in all situations where the image will be cropped. Using a longer focal length on the FF to compensate for less cropping and/or capturing far less noise when shooting at high ISO, can provide just as good a detailed crop as a noisy high ISO 7D image that requires time intensive selective noise reduction.
