Well, I disagree. There weren't an abundance of young girls who looked like that.
While we didn't have DSLR's and Photoshop, we did have SLR's, TLR's, Veiw Camera's and retouch labs to do that if we couldn't.
So, no, 53 years ago, there weren't any young women who looked like her.
While there is some retouching, it is at a minimum as she doesn't requite a lot.

How do her eyes change colors with minimal retouching?
Retouching has nothing to do with her eye color. She's wearing green contracts in one of the photos.
