Honestly I think the Samyang/Rokinon/Bower/Wallimex/Whatever 14mm f/2.8 is a no-brainer here. It's big and clunky, but you're going to be using it for astrophotography so it'll be sitting on a tripod anyway (on that note, make sure you get an adapter with a tripod mount). Buy a copy of the UMC (newer) version in either Canon or Nikon mount, as it'll be easier to sell later.

At 21mm equivalent it's not exactly super-wide, but it's very sharp even at f/2.8, which will help a lot with astrophotography.
