E-30 Button Malfunction

I have had the situation where the body does not recognize a lens in A,S,P.  Exercising the contacts , turning off and on, removing and re-installing lens usually fixed the problem.  I have had no problems like you describe with my E-30.  Will be taking the E-30 for trip to Alaska this summer, but wife's Panasonic FZ-50 will be along as companion camera and back-up.  Hope you can solve the problem and please let us know the outcome.
