What media are you referring to? I've never seen any differential as big as that for fine art media (Hahnemuhle, Canson, etc). Perhaps it does exist for an RC type media from a lower cost third party vendor like Red River Paper. Deals on various Epson media may sometimes bring about that difference as well.
