Why don't you look at RAW. Looks basically the same as 5N

A fair comment but I don't shoot in RAW and don't plan on it...I am not pro/enthusiast and don't do much post processing except very basic stuff...think brightness, contrast etc.

To me, it seems weird to consider using a $1000+ (including kit lens) camera, shoot only in JPG, and then pixel peep at ISO 3200.

If you don't think the NEX-6 measures up to the IQ of the NEX-5N or OM-D, then get a different camera, I guess.

As others have pointed out, this could also be due to differences in lenses, camera-specific ISO/aperture settings, and/or processing defaults.

Look forget about the OM-D for a sec. I have to sort that out separately, The comment about larger aperture used on OM-D makes sense plus I have to look at the shutter (which can be done by downloading the samples).

Let's concentrate on 5N vs 6 here which is what I've been doing. IDENTICAL lenses, click on the little gear icon in the right lower corner of each image. So 5N vs 6 here is really comparing apples to apples.

And we are past the RAW argument too...I still see the 5N does better with detail and sharpness. So what's next?
