This looks like a big, screaming "hint" about an E-7 and/or even E-50/ E-720 coming, as they made it clear that "E" is coming as another class of things. Since the other boxes below "E" are for cameras, "E" must be for cameras, too. Hopefully this is not my wishful thinking.

So, what kind of "E" camera? At the minimum, an E-5 with a new sensor that is better than what's in the OMD now. People (though may not in great number) bought E-5 with a (arguably) lagging sensor. That's a good indication of people's interest in an E-5 or better camera with a (arguably) leading sensor.

This is also the optimal way for Olympus to crank out something fast and cheap. If they put more stuff in E-7 or whatever they call it that takes 4/3 lenses properly, that's even better.

I'd buy the next "E" camera with OMD or better sensor that focuses 4/3 lenses properly. By properly, I mean they need to be as good as on an E-5, if not better. Heck if the next OMD can focus 4/3 lenses properly, I have no problem with that either. CAF is desirable but SAF is a edal breaker.

$1500 or below for an E-7 is something acceptable. Olympus, wise up! Do not price people into the 35mm FF world.
