I'm not so sure that it won't be the Toshiba sensor, but anything is possible. Both the d3200 and d5200 have normal ISO from 100-6400. The Toshiba extended ISO goes to 25600, while the Sony goes to 12800. I assume that the NR story is not including the Hi ISO modes of the sensor. I can't envision why the d7100 sensor would be less capable than its predecessors.
You might have better luck using the long exotics with the cam 4800 than the average user. But, that would depend greatly on the light and target, as usual. I wish you best of luck, if you get one.
