Nobody prevents you from setting everything manually if you so wish. The topic here is about an automatic mode (auto ISO) and two related questions:

  • whether you should be able to set a minimum shutter speed for this automatic mode (same as the camera lets you set a maximum ISO value for this mode)
  • and whether the camera should take an exposure compensation into account and adjust the ISO chosen by the camera's auto mode to the exposure chosen manually and intentionally by the photographer in his full and total control and consciousness.
