Canon EF 8-15 L lens or Canon EF-S 10-22 for landscape shots (mountains)

I've never used an ultra wide for mountains - if you can see an entire mountain you are too far away for ultra wide. I typically shoot mountains from 50-400 mm.

There is a myth that landscape photography = ultra wide. The reality is landscape photography = ultrawide, wide, mid range, telephoto and super-telephoto.

The 10-22 is my favorite landscape lens, but I use it for large objects in close proximity.
