I'll just toss my two cents in and some additional suggestions. I've done some video with my 5DII and found I absolutely needed an expensive Zacuto viewfinder so I could focus.

Then I bought a Rode mike with deadcat wind muff for decent sound. And Smith Victor makes a neat, cheap shoulder rig for run and gun videography that looks almost as if you shot from a tripod:

I've found I usually shoot with my 16-35 f/2.8 and an 85 f/1.8 lenses.

Also factor in that your computer may need an upgrade, or even replacing, when editing those massive HD video clips.
