I don't know. I have tried many different "work arounds" in bench tests and I cannot get rid of the irregularity. I am guessing that the linear motor's servo resolution is less than the command request from the focus ring which ends up graphically possible on the scale but the resolution cannot be achieved by the motor linear design. I.E. It would have to take a "half-step" which the magnets cannot resolve. It all scares me because it leads me to believe there is no fixin' it by just software alone. And resolution for "Ultra DoF" work and portability is why I bought this camera, bummer.
