Compression is a matter of perspective, so if you used a 100mm on FF, you'll need a 50mm on m43.
"Telephoto compression" is a misnoner. What does the compression is increasing the distance from the subject, while the distance between subject and background remains the same. The telephoto is a side-effect of being further from the subject.
