Hi,

It seems to me that when you change lenses on a DSLR the mirror is always down and forms a barrier to dust and dirt getting to the sensor (and the focal plain shutter?).

On the other hand with a DSLR the flapping of the mirror would create a draft and, and possibly cause dust to be sucked in, and/or blown around the sensor box each time the mirror is tripped.

I'd say six of one half dozen of the other.

I have a D7000 and an EM-5.

To date the D7000 sensor always seems to be dirty and the EM5 not yet.
