Sony a37 for a beginner?

I have an A37, if this unit has an articulate high res screen, it'll be the best APSC in sony lineup... reason is, it's built just slightly bigger than my NEX 5, but it has an EVF, and AF like a beast, I can throw the A37 with a 35 1.8 in my jacket's pocket... and an 20AM flash in the other pocket... makes an awesome combo as a "P&S" haha.
