Sony 85mm 2.8 lens for sports?

While the 85 2.8 is a good lens. it's very over priced (look at canon 85 1.8)... at the same time, 85 2.8 would get cover with something like a 70-200 2.8 tamron.

I understand the 85 is a prime and it's definitely sharper than the 70-200, but the flexibility of the zoom can't be deny, and it's not much more expensive (and you won't get rip off either since it's the same price for every mount lol), I always feels certain lens in certain systems are rip off, the sony 85 1.8 is one of them, on the canon side they don't have a 35 1.8, so they get the 35 2, that's a rip off if you're on APS-C.
