One of the attributes of the 70-300 is use for, of all things, "macro" for lack of a better word. I have many very nice photos of flowers, dragonflies and hummingbirds taken zoomed in and, in the cases of the latter, from a safe distance so as not to frighten them away. Can one manage this with the 75-300?
I was using my 75-300 originally with the Canon 500D closeup lens, and it works well, but you have to get relatively close. Since picking up the Kenko extension tubes that's all I use, much like when I used to use the EX25 with the four-thirds 70-300. The Kenko set comes with 10mm and 16mm tubes. I use the 10mm tube the most. Works just like the above-mentioned four-thirds setup. I do not do "macro" with it, just closeups like these..
