It's been a while since I sold my GF2 but I remember that there was a LOT of similarities in the GF2 and my G3. The main difference was that the GF2 lacked a lot of options. Anyways, on a G3, if you go to the Custom Menu, on page 6, select "Touch Settings". In this sub menu, turn off/on whatever you want, in this case, turn off "Touch AF". Make sure your AF mode is set to "1-Area".
