Sorry you had to return your camera for repairs.
"Listening" to the comments posted here, some folks appear to think you need to hold down the shutter button for the three AEB shots. All you should do is press and release once as for a single shot, while the camera will continue to shoot the remaining two shots adjusting the exposure for each one. Also, yes a tripod or monopod will help keep the shots aligned for all three. I've done AEB shots hand held, not tripod/monopod, and allowed the software to align them for me. It's difficult to be completely still, but practice can produce good results. Also be aware the DPP software that comes with the camera includes an HDR feature that will also align you images for you.
I have the G9 and G11, but I'm sure the G15 will operate the same way in AEB. I saved some $ and purchased Photomatix Essentials version ($39), and it does an excellent job for my needs.
