well no... Minolta Maxxum AF lenses are compatible and there are third party makers. But I think unless you really know what to look for in old lenses to avoid them. people get stung with sticky apertures and fungus all the time because they didn't know what to look for. and actually if you are going to go that route there are in fact lenses worse than the 18-70 out there so i'll go back on what I said earlier
