Hi Cadder,

Of course, my first reaction was those got to be dust spots on the sensor although I shoot the APO-R 180/3.4 wide open most of the time.  As you can see from the Exif data, this image was shot at ISO 100 and 1/2500s exposure time.  So, I am pretty sure the lens was used in this shot wide open or close to it.

So, to make sure I actually had taken an image of 3 sunspots, I looked up the published daily sunspot data and indeed at that day there were 3 sunspots and my spots were in the right locations.

Better lucky than smart!  That seems to work for me sometimes in photography.
