How does the 17 compare to the 25? Both seem evenly priced.
Blue
If the two were even optically, I would pick the 17/1.8 every time for the wider coverage, but in my opinion the 25/1.4 is the better lens.
The 17mm f1.8 is a really nice lens, but this weekend I am taking mine back to my dealer to send it to Olympus to work on. In snap mode the focus distance settings are so far off, if you set the distance index anywhere near the infinity mark, nothing is in focus. Focusing manually on the moon while in snap mode and other way distant objects it's obvious true infinity on my sample is just beyond the 3 meter setting mark, which to me is way off when the whole point of snap mode is just being able to set the focus based on the given markings, which are worthless as it now sits.
