HVL-60M first impressions (after HVL-58AM)

I recently switched from NEX7 to NEX6, which left me with the question about the flash. I was very happy with the 58AM on the NEX7 (although it comes a bit close to the body when rotated for vertical shots), but not very happy with it on the NEX6 with the ADP-MAA adapter.

The little locking wheel was a fiddle. and the adapter protrudes awkwardly from the flash when off the camera. I didn't like applying the force to swivel and tilt the big flash attached through the adapter.

But it worked OK, so I was hesitant about springing for the 60M, but I did...and now it has come I am very pleased with it, and have no regrets.

Specifically things I have noted so far:-

Lever instead of screw wheel to lock

Controls revamped

Video light

Stofen type diffuser supplied, and (another filter I won't use)

Feels much more secure on the camera

More clearance to top of body when rotated for vertical.
