New Voigtlander 42.5mm f0.95 lens

Its good that Voigtlander are sticking with M43 with these ultra fast lenses and I think it makes a lot of sense.

The 17.5 0.95 is 540g which is about as heavy as you can reasonably use on a M43 camera. The 25 0.95 is 410g and it looks as though the 42.5 0.95 will be about the same weight.

SLR Magic who are also bringing out a 25 0.95 in M43 have decided to go with a lens that covers the APS-H sensor for the 35 0.95. This means that while the 25 0.95 will weigh about the same as the Voigtlander the 35 0.95 is a massive 760g. Although it can be used on M43 I dont see many people prepared to use a lens of that weight. It will be interesting whether Nex or Fuji X users think differently. It also means that the 35 0.95 is US$1300 which is double the cost of their M43 25 0.95 US$649.
