Olympus 75-300 Mk1 vs. Olympus FT 70-300

Interested in user reports from those who have owned both.  With the price drop to $550 and minor improvements, the 75-300 MkII is now of some interest for my E-M5. I had the FT 70-300 and found it okay at the long end when the gods were smiling.

Based on SLRGear's tests of the 75-300 Mk1 and FT 70-300, the former performed better at 300mm, being quite a bit sharper:
