That depends on how you are processing the raw pictures, since I use a good program for processing the raw and adding sharpening and NR, then yes I can. If you want to adjust shadows, highlights and colour then again you will notice the difference.
I started off shooting jpeg, but wish I had not, as I only shoot raw now, since it's easy enough to batch convert the files on your PC to jpeg if you want.
I shoot 14 bit uncompressed with the D7000 because the file size isn't really an issue for me so I go with the highest quality.
