I'm having a lot of fun with Pocket Wizards and Alien Bees with the AC-9 adapter. No, they don't do ETTL but they (somehow) do Hypersync and HSS which is great for action. I only use 550's and 580's for fill or for portable shooting.
Yea... if I start to find the need to invest in that sort of thing, I will need to get some other triggers but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Paul Buff definitely has the right idea when it comes to larger strobes.
