SX50/Winter Storm Brewing and it's a NASTY One!

This is a picture of my car's weather map. The yellow icons are tornadoes. The blue is hail. The red arrow is my location and direction I'm traveling.

This is what it looked like to the north about 30 minutes after I got home.  I just grabbed the camera when my husband hollered out for me to come look at the sky.  Didn't know what mode I was shooting in (AV) and didn't make any changes.  This is a "on the fly" 1/2 second exposure hand held.  A true "point and shoot".  I'm sorry the exif didn't transfer.  Don't know what I'm doing for it to work sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.  ISO 250.  EC +0.3  f/3.5  Really need to view it in full screen to get the full effect.
