I have just purchased a reconditioned SD15 and modified it to use my Nikon legacy lenses (as I do with my Sony NEX 5n and Panasonic Lumix GF1). I set those cameras at Aperture Priority and set the f-stops on the lenses manually. The cameras then calculate the correct exposures fairly precisely. In using the SD15 with those lenses, can I follow the same procedure, or do I need also to set the exact Aperture in the program? Or can I leave the programmed aperture setting at f-1.1 no matter which aperture I've manually set the lens at? I'd appreciate clarification on this matter.

Set the camera to Aperture Priority then dial in f/1.0. As you stop down the lens the shutter speed will be set correctly. At least that's how it works with my M42 lenses.
