I agree with what Goblin said here:

BUT also reiterate my previous comments disagreeing with the seller's mis-description ...

About your photos. The f/2.8 25 mm pancake can achieve considerably sharper images than those you have posted. Very pretty cat ... :-).

Cat's irises are tricky. They are quite a long way back from the cornea and eyelids, quite unlike those of humans ...

IMO you have slightly missed focus in the first and second shots, and looks as if you have very slight motion blur in the third. It may help if you switch the AF sensitivity of your camera to SENSITIVE rather than NORMAL for these kinds of shots. Or use a slightly smaller f-stop to give you greater DoF latitude.

One with E-510 + pancake at f/2.8. Note that nose pad and ears are both OoF:

One with E-510 + pancake at f/4.5 and a tad further away. Note that nose pad to irises are now in focus, with only the left ear being distinctly blurred:

I don't normally use the pancake on my E-30, so cannot show you anything from a camera with a very similar AF system to your E-5.

Hope this helps a bit.
