this fansy lens - Fujian 35mm F/1.7 C-Mount CCTV Lens (basicly same lens than SLR magic 35/1.7):Some of you may know
It makes quite special pictures with NEX camera - pretty sharp center performance, but very bad corners. Bokeh is also quite unique.
I noticed an interesting fact...Anyway, I made some test shots with it, and degree of field curvature... from a very significant Actually Fujian 35/1.7 corner performance isn't so bad (even wide open), BUT it suffer

But once you know this fact, you can probably take advantage of it sometimes.

This may explain why this lens makes so "unique" pictures...

I noticed that when focusing distance is 50cm, extreme corners are even circa 8cm behind..and when distance is 3-4 meters, corners are maybe 0.5 - 1 meter behind!

...Corners are much better (...but center is now very bad :

ANYWAY, when I focus in corner (wide open, f/1.7):

BUT corners very bad, 100% crop:

Now center performance is pretty good...100% crop:

Center in focus:

Here are couple of my samples (wide open, f/1.7)..

So, in real life - when focus is spot on in center, then edges and corners are far behind focus!
