you can chemically dissolve the CFA (and microlenses on top of CFA) - but be carefull about poisoning and fire danger...

one of 2 people behind RPP ( http://www.dpreview.com/members/4752561233/forums/posts ) which is used a lot for Fuji XTrans camera did this many time w/ different cameras, so you can try to ask.
