Anyone had problems with insurance claims with PPA (Professional Photographers Association)

Hello,

I am looking to sign onto the PPA insurance plan. I have been with State Farm for years now and then realized that they do not cover a lot of travel destinations and I do a good amount of freelance stock travel work.

It looks like PPA covers all that up to $15,000 which is about right for my travel gear.

I'm naturally very skeptical about these insurance companies and would love to hear anybody's experience with them...good or bad.

I never filed a claim with State Farm, but I now think there is a good chance they would have negated any claims I might have had because of my travels.

I also make a small amount in stock, so I guess that qualifies me as a professional (another reason State Farm prob would have not paid claims)...but it sounds like PPA covers all this.

I was also looking into ASPP as they have a separate insurance policy as well.
