I think we can all realize how useful this would be at a shoot to review pics with clients, or even at home to better review images - sort of a stop-gap (and more portable) tethered solution.
I believe that the iPad HDMI may be capable of output only so you won't be able to use the HDMI converter but plugging the standard iPad cable into the A77 via USB might work with the right app (if such an app even exists).
