First time out- new to me 40D

Thanks Doc,   So much to learn.  I am just not techno savy, and the PP programs drive me to pulling my hair out.  Am pretty happy with the camera, but there certainly is a learning curve. The auto focus sensor seems much more sensative than my T3, and takes some care to get it centered on the subject.  The Ibis for example, I think there was a blade of grass or something it focused on.  Seems to be plenty sharp when there is no operator error involved.  So, just more practice, practice, practice.  At least the practice is enjoyable and not work.
