Do you use layered Tifs?

Yes I read the Adobe messes up PSD format for the creative suite. Still PSD work in Photoshop.

Yes Photoshop can save all thing it saves in PSD files in layered Tif files Both PSD and Tif support compression its even optional in Tif. The problem is not all programs support what Photoshop can save in layered tif files. So I save in PSD so I know to work on these files with Photoshop. The only tif files on my system have been downloaded from the Web and none of these are layered. This leaves me to believe that layered tif files are not commonly used.

If you do not want to save in an Adobe screwed up image fomat PSD files then one should use Photoshop native file format PSB. Which is what CS6 uses for it autosave recovery files.

I still use PSD....
