Bob,
Judging from your numerous SX50 threads, I don't think you are ever going to get comfortable with this camera and it may be time for you to move on to something else? Do you have any friends or a camera club near by that can go shooting with you for some hands on help? Have you read the users guide more than a quick glance? Have you read Visions' mini reviews and several other folks advice in this forum? Have you practiced at home just shooting things around the house trying the various settings over and over to see what works? I really don't have any additional advice I can offer as to your problems with the SX50--sorry!
