Canon 60D v Rebel t4i for video and stills? Help choose.

I have a 30D which I want to upgrade. I shot both stills and to video work, currently with a Canon Vixia G10, mostly stage and live recordings. The possibility of having a DSLR which can also record video is very important for me, as sometimes stages have very dim lights and I guess a DSRL will give me the best quality in these situations. Also, the possibility of manual zoom with a DSRL is very appealing.
I have seen that the Rebel T4i and the 60D have almost the same price. The T4i seems to have an edge in video recording, mainly due to the longer maximum video recording of half an hour in 1080p. But the 60D, even now that is has been “Rebellized” and not being on the same line as the previous x0s models, it is much sturdier and convenient for stills. Having a 30D, downgrading to a Rebel body makes me doubt a lot.
The 12 minutes limit on the 60D seems a bit problematic. Does anyone know how long is the pause the camera has to make to start recording again? I mean, you stop recording and push the recording again, how long do you miss? Is instantaneous, missing only 1 second?
Any thoughts will be welcomed. Thanks!
PS: I know that the t4i also has constant focusing, but reviews are not good on this feature, saying that is useless for professional work, so this is not a factor for me.
