D600 giving me trouble before I even get one

I ordered a refurbished D600 for $1,699. Then I got cold feet over the warranty terms, and found a brand new one for just $100 more, so I cancelled the order.

Well it turns out the brand-new D600 for $1,799 is an up-sell scam. A guy calls from a boiler room and tries to sell you a bunch of overpriced crap, and if you don't bite they don't ship the camera.

Next up is $1,996.95 brand-new from Amazon. I really hate to pay full retail price for anything... Does anybody know where I can find it lower from a non-scammy vendor ?
