SX50 - Birds in Trees

...all 143 images in your SmugMug bird gallery, and there isn't a loser in the bunch.  My favorites were the Cedar Waxwing series, but who doesn't love a bluebird?  We have exactly the same backyard visitors near Rochester, NY.

Are the muted backgrounds in many of your pictures dependent more on your camera settings or on an aspect of your post-processing?  Maybe the answer is in your blog; that's my next stop!
