I hate to be a pedant, but in the interest of helping those that are new to or learning photography, shouldn't we insist on calling f11 a 'smaller' aperture ..?  It may be counter-intuitive, but the lower numbers represent larger apertures, and the higher values describe smaller ones.  And while I'm being a PITA, let's all agree that 'more' DOF doesn't mean a shallower DOF -- it means a deeper one.  DOF is always present, but you can have a 'deep' or a 'shallow' -- and more should always mean deep ...
