Has anyone got a GX1 with firmware for ntsc to run in PAL movie mode?
Mine is a PAL version and when I checked the ntsc selectable mode on the firmware hack, the camera wouldn't read the MP4 files...
It's really common for the camera to fail to play back recordings of higher bit rate hacks. Do your files work fine otherwise?

Meaning that it won't play hacked mp4 files, yes? Or do you mean that original firmware cannot ever play mp4 files it has recorded?
I can't lotada the original firmware, as it says the camera up to date.
I have to load it on PTool and save it, with or without changes on the firmware. But when I check the PAL<>NTSC box (the option to enable NTSC recording on a PAL camera and vice versa), the MP4 files don't play.
I only need to uncheck that option in PTool in order to play MP4 files in the camera.
