Camera sensors!!! How many?

I have a Samsung tl205 point and shoot camera. I know that the shutter has to activate to take a picture but when I take video the shutter doesn't activate (obviously). Does this mean that cameras have 2 sensors? One for pictures and one for the viewfinder/video?
