Keep in mind, once the mkI lenses are blown out of inventory, the artificially low sales price will be gone, the new mkII lens will undoubtedly be priced higher than the original price of the mkI, the mkI lenses got very good reviews, and the odds of somebody actually *losing* money on this deal is remote. I'd bank on the used market price eventually rising over time.
If the lenses will work for you, I'd consider getting them. For $99/lens, you're picking up one full stop @ 19mm, and 1 2/3 stop @ 30mm compared to the MkII kit lens. At least the Oly MkII. That's not a bad deal at all for the price.
