I've been shopping for monitors to do photo work with. I was looking at a few different 24" monitors (1920x1200) and a some 27" monitors(2560x1440). I would like to know your experiences with :
Workflow using a dual monitor set up, especially if you use dual 27" monitors.
Korean brands like CatLeap and Shimian.
Asus PA/PB and Dell Ultrasharp series monitors.

Other software outside the photo/video software.

Are the 27" monitors a significant and worthwhile bump from the 24" monitors (both resolution and physical size)?

I am very happy with my Dell U2711 monitor.

The resolution and low dot pitch are excellent, the color consistency and gamut are excellent, and the adjustability of the brightness is excellent. (Many monitors these days have minimum brightness that is too bright for comfortable normal use.)

I found the dot pitch on 24" monitors too high. Just not sharp.

I would not use dual 27" monitors. Too unwieldy.

A single 27" monitor can fit a lot on it. If you wanted dual monitors a smaller monitor, perhaps in portrait mode, might work as a secondary screen for palettes etc..

So far im stuck between two monitors in the 24" and 27" catagories.

The Asus pa248q vs the Dell Ultrasharp u2412m (most likely in a dual monitor set up) and

the Asus pb278 vs the Dell Ultrasharp u2713hm

Something I would like to know though. Is there a major difference between an e-ips, s-ips, p-ips displays? Is the difference worth the extra money ($100 + more for the Asus pa246q for example)?
